Hello peeps! I think i'm gonna update on school stuffs today. It's a friday btw, yay!

So i joined Cross Country, and now i can run 2 miles (3.2km) non-stop, yay, which is such a surprise since i cant even pass my 2.4 back in singapore haha. My fastest mile (1.6km) is now 6 min. I think at meets we're supposed to run 3.1 miles (5km) so i dunno how im gonna do that.

School's been fine, went out with some people tonight, watched Babylon A.D. which is like the most random movie ever, haha. I give it like a 4/10.

Anyway, we're gonna have a High School Retreat, from Sep 8-10, at this place called Windy Gap in NC. I've heard that it's really nice there. So there are competitions among grades there, and i signed up for billiards, yay, so i hope i get chosen for that.

So update me about your lives when you see me online!

Chau!

Hey guys!!! Sorry I haven't updated in such a long time!!!!! I forgot my password to blogger and it suddenly dawned upon me!!! Like divine revelation!!! (haha)

Anyway, school's been pretty good, although some days are really rush and hectic. Okay here are the subjects that I am taking:

Chorus (im in the choir... dunno why, but it's pretty fun)
Photography (yay)
English (now reading The Scarlet Letter, interesting book)
Advanced Placement Biology (AP Biology) (okay this subject is like so so difficult)
Expository Writing (just writing essays and stuffs)
Bible Study
Pre-Calculus Honors (quite hard math)
Spanish (this class is so awesome, the teacher's really nice)
US History (the teacher's really really nice here too)

So you guys should know that in the states, the students don't have a class, but the teachers do, so the students go to the teacher's classes for their respective lessons.

Anyway, i've made alot of friends. Btw, there are only like 70 people in my grade...small school haha...

So this weekend, i am home alone! My folks went to vegas for some wedding yay. I just hang out with my neighbor, Kate, at her house or something when i'm bored.

I'll update again soon!
Adios!

Maui, Hawaii

2:39 PM

Aloha everybody!

Apologies for the late update... cos it's like, so difficult to find good internet connections in Hawaii... So i typed them on notepad and posted when i found a good internet connection.

Okay, im gonna post about the flights, then Hawaii.

Chai Heng, Keith, Aileen and Xin Ying sent me off at about 6am!! Haha so cool! Anyway, we took some pics (they're on Chai Heng's facebook). Thanks again for coming.

The flight to Japan (7 hours) was good. I watched Drillbit Taylor (7.5/10, comedy) which was really funny lol! Owen Wilson ftw! Then i took like a nap (because I didn't sleep the previous night haha).
Then I watched Fool's Gold (8.5/10, adventure) which was so cool cos it was about treasure hunting!! Matthew Mcconaughey and Kate Hudson ftw!!! Anyway, I've enjoyed all of Matthew Mcconaughey's movies so I suggest that you check him out.

Then we spent like 4 hours in Tokyo for transit. Ate some really good sushi.

Then it was the flight to Hawaii (also 7 hours). Watched Be Kind Rewind (7/10, comedy) which starred Jack Black and Mos Def. Lol quite lame actually, haha. Mos Def is a really good actor, you should check him out in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (7/10, sci fi comedy) or 16 Blocks (9/10, action).
I also watched Definitely, Maybe (8/10, romance) which starred Ryan Reynolds from Van Wilder (8/10, comedy) haha!

The first day of Hawaii was nothing much, cos we were pretty tired. So we just hung out by the pool and on the beach.

Second day was lazy as well... Hung out by the pool and on the beach, so many girls!!! O.O =p and also swam in the ocean.

The third day, got up at 5am and went snorkeling. I also tried this thing called 'Snuba' which was snorkeling except you did it 20 feet under. Quite hard to explain so check it out online if you're interested. It was so amazing. Saw so many colorful corals and schools of fish. We also saw turtles and eagle rays!!!

Fourth day was a 'WOW'!!! Woke up at around 1.30am cos we signed up for this thing to go up a volcano to see the sunrise then bicycle down for about 2 hours. The sunrise was so amazing!! It was like a dream... (i might put pictures up next time once i figure out how to haha)The bicycling was nice too, feeling the wind in your hair while just going downhill almost all the way for nearly 2 hours.I didn't get to go surfing... =( cos we didnt have time to hit the big waves. However I did go body-surfing !!(its quite hard to explain so check it out) There were almost 10 foot (3.048m) waves!!! SO FUN!!!

Going home tomorrow...it was fun! I'm definitely bringing my special someone there next time! And you should too!!!

Aloha

P.S. 'Thank You' in Hawaiian is 'Mahalo' (pronounced mah-hah-low).

Hey everyone!

Went to watch The Dark Knight today with Jian Ming, Jian Liang, Lionel, Edmund and Si Yuan. It was about 2.5 hours of pure awesome-ness.

Storyline (5):

Okay, the story was very good. Even those who are not actually fans of Batman will enjoy this movie as the suspense and the action is really birlliant. There are also morals in this movie, so you can sort of learn something from it.

Acting (3):

Oh wow! The acting was the best best best! Heath Ledger was so awesome as The Joker. I mean, how many people out there can act as a lunatic psycho-killer and still have as big a smile as he did? Or maybe acting The Joker killed him...literally... RIP, you saved the best for last.
Christian Bale was pretty okay. Morgan Freeman was good as always, and Aaron Eckhart was pretty good as well.

Environment/Effects (2):

The environment was really good. They made Gotham really dark and sinister, like its supposed to be. The effects were wow! The ultrasonic thing was so so cool! And Batman's bike was the awesomest!

Storyline: 5/5
Acting: 3/3
Environment/Effects: 2/2
Total: 10/10 =)

Movie Review: Hellboy 2, The Golden Army

Sunday, July 13, 2008
6:27 AM

Hello everyone! My weekend was great, how was yours?

Anyway, just caught the Hellboy 2 movie which appeared to be so cool in the trailer. However, it turned out to be just okay... lol... so I rate movies upon 10, by Storyline (5), Acting (3) and Environment/Effects (2).

Storyline (3):
Well, the story was pretty okay but it was pretty weird in some parts. Although I liked it, because I am a Hellboy fan, it might not appeal to everyone and even bore some. So unless you are an avid viewer of sci-fi/supernatural movies, I suggest you just stay away from this one.

Acting (2.5):
The acting in the movie was pretty good actually, even funny sometimes. I liked the blue guy.

Environment/Effects (2):
Oh wow, the special effects were so awesome. Loud explosions here and there! And the environment was in good variety, having both city and country, and underground (=x).

Storyline: 3/5
Acting: 2.5/3
Environment/Effects: 2/2
Total: 7.5/10

So in conclusion, I'd say it was pretty good... Hellboy is cool =p

She Could Be You

Hello everyone!

Finally finished the frustrating task of getting the skin template and all the blog-crap. The error kept saying something about 'The template is not well versed..blah blah...' until I reverted back to Classic blogger (still don't know what that is) under the advice of Jian Liang and it worked!

Anyway, my purpose for creating this blog is to keep you guys in Singapore updated about my life in the States. I'll probably post at least once a week and if i don't, just email me or something... and yes, if you did not know, I'll be flying off on the 28th of July. First to Hawaii for a 4-day vacation (yay! surfing!) and then fly to North Carolina and begin school on 11 August, which is also coincidentally my sixteenth birthday...!

Oh coolness! I've finished watching the second season of Kyle XY! It's a great show, you guys should check it out. The music on the show is the best. Go Michael Suby!

So read and tag, and then tell your friends to read, tag and tell their friends to read and tag... oh by the way, isn't my bear cute? =p

Later.
